It’s easy to dream about how you’d love your house to look, but putting it on paper in a way that actually works – – that’s an entirely different story.
We started planning our barndominium design months before we actually sent it to the designer. It took so much thought and planning and imaging what we would need in the future.
We came up with several versions before we started working with an official draftsman.

These are prototypes, slightly different than what the actual plans came out to be. In fact, the cover image on our website is the closest mock-up to what the house may look like.

We’ve decided that we’ll have flat 10’ceilings in the bedroom section of the house, with it opening up to a vault in the great room.
There will be an open gable porch on both the front and the back of the house. In our barndominium plan we realized that we needed lots of open space for our big family to gather. Most of the kids may have moved out, but they still love to come home for dinners and other family gatherings!
